Jumping into therapy is not something to take lightly. It’s a deeply personal choice that has the potential to shift how you see yourself, your relationships, and how you conceptualize your life. By its nature, therapy can be scary. Engaging in this process takes bravery and strength that, at times, may feel foreign to you. For this reason, you need to be sure it’s right for you.
My goal as a therapist is to unlock your natural healing potential through connection, introspection, and body-centered insight. I practice from a holistic and integrative framework which means I put you first and I will devise a plan that’s as individualized as you are. Our work will be informed by evidence-based treatments, neuroscience, somatic psychology, and the nature of our relationship.
You may wonder if this is right for you. The premise of therapy is to work through persistent struggles that keep you from living the life you want to live. Therapy is right for you if you desire meaningful change but feel limited in enacting it. Therapy is effective for treating mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety but is also useful for addressing relationship problems, family dynamics, grief, or life transitions, to name a few. If you feel stuck in some way, this is a good indicator that therapy will benefit you.
Therapy is a journey, not an event. If you choose to take this journey with me, I intend to walk with you through both the muck and the wildflowers. With a little effort, we will arrive at a pinnacle and be able to see the past, the present, and the future with clarity and inspiration.
